Probably one of my favourite times of year, I am one of those people who loves the excitement in the air, how glittery things become and all of the food on the shelves in shops. I am of course talking about Christmas and all of the joyous festivities that come with it. There’s a lot to love at this time of year and here are some of my favourite things about the season!

Christmas Markets – Anywhere that makes it acceptable to drink warm red wine in the day time is a winner with me.
Mulled Wine – This is one of my favourite Christmas smells. A big glass of mulled wine, walking around a winter wonderland with the air crispy fresh and the jangle of Christmas music playing in the background. Mmmmm, Christmas time!

Christmas Music – It’s a little different when you’re trapped in an office that has been playing Last Christmas since October but luckily that is not me this year so I still feel merry when I hear Mariah in December or The Pogues.
Christmas trees and Christmas lights – I love them all over the place but they make London so sparkly and pretty, how can this not be a good thing?

Drinking champagne with breakfast on Christmas Day – I mean, this is the single greatest thing about December 25th is it not?
Turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce – Turkey is pretty boring, I know that, but with the right stuffing and a scoop of cranberry sauce it can be magical – at least for a month. Plus if you smoosh this in a sandwich, then you have the perfect festive snack.
Cards – I really enjoy writing Christmas cards and picking them out in stores. I have a tiny Christmas card list so that probably helps on this one, plus my cards are the CUTEST!

What do you love most about Christmas? Let me know below.

Also one of my favorite times but my Christmas is a little different because it’s a fun hot summer Christmas. I’d love to try mulled wine some day!

Oh wow, that’s such a different concept for us Londoners. We complain that it’s cold, but a warm Christmas would blow our minds 😂 Mulled wine is a must! X Thank you for reading and merry Christmas ♥️

Wearing cosy pyjamas eating scrumptious food and watching people smile for a change and chat together on a busy usually miserable journey into London.
With my favourite folk and that’s ALL that matters.
That and a winter visit too the zoo tomorrow

Hi Ellie! I love decorating the Christmas tree with colorful lights and sentimental ornaments. It’s such a bright and colorful time of year! Thanks for the post.

Hehe, bright lights are my favourite. I did have white lights for a few years but the coloured ones are my favourite because I used to love them the most when I was little! Sentimental ornaments are the best! All of mine are pretty new at the minute, but as the years pass they will gather more memories for sure, just like the ones on my mum’s tree! x
