It’s that time of year again. We are at the start of yet another season with the whole summer lying out before us. This means it is the time where I sit down and make a list of some of the things I would like to do over the next few months, before the nights start to close in again and the weather restrains us into chunky knit jumpers. I loved my summer bucket list of 2018 which you can read here. You might notice a few things off of that list have crept their way into this summer’s list but that only means that I did not get a chance to do them over winter!

- Tour London on an open top bus at night – this always seems like such a fun way to spend an evening, I hope it is available this summer in the city
- Have a beach day somewhere in the UK – Bournemouth was the beach of choice last year and it was fabulous. I’d love to get to another beach this summer.
- Visit a theme park in the UK – It has simply been too long since I went to one of these anywhere so this summer needs to fix that.
- Attend The London Dessert Festival – As someone who gave up refined sugar in her diet 18 months ago, this one will be the ultimate summer treat.
- Go to a good food festival – I say good because last summer I went to a terrible one which was a complete waste of time. I was not even able to get any pictures, let alone a blog post out of it. Hopefully this year will be more promising.
Oh to be beside the sea. - Take a pedal boat out on one of the lakes in London – I should probably add to this, take out a boat and not get stuck on the lake!
- Climb over the o2 – Because those views would be epic!
- Watch the sunrise – I never want to stop wanting to watch sunrises
- Start pitching to places as a freelance writer – My blog is almost one year old – I am now ready to next level this story. Let’s do this!
- Complete my bullet journal before my blog turns 1 year old – I’ve never kept up with an diary or journal as much as I have with this and I don’t want to stop before it is full.
Sunsets over the city are some of my favourite. - Explore some towns and cities in the UK – I would like to visit Glasgow, Bath and some places on the South Coast this summer.
- Watch The Lion King on the West End – With tickets already booked, this has been on my Life Bucket List for years! I’m excited to finally see this in London this June.
- See Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat on the West End – This musical was the first one I ever saw on the stage and it’s really out of nostalgia more than anything else, but I MUST see this when it is back on the West End this summer
- Watch Aladdin on the West End – I have wanted to see this since it started in London but have never ‘got round’ to it. With it being in its last few months, tickets for this Disney classic have also been snapped up and I’m heading to the theatre in June.
- Go to Bon Jovi at Wembley – I saw Bon Jovi in 2013 and they were one of the best concerts ever. I got tickets for their Wembley show many months ago and this is also in the diary for June!
Who doesn’t like a penguin? - Go to the Night Zoo at London Zoo (for the third time) – Usually on in June or July, I have been to this twice before and do not want to miss out this year. My post on the 2018 trip is here.
- Watch a sunset – Because they will never not be stunning
- Have picnic in one of the parks in London – Again, I only started this last year given the fantastic weather we got in London but I want to do this as many times as possible this summer.
- Celebrate my two year anniversary with my Mr – We went to Prague for our first year celebrations in 2018. I don’t yet know where we will be this year but I do know it needs to be celebrated.
- Find another job – Before my current contract expires in June, I would really like to have something else already lined up.
Here’s my bucket list
Research new places to live it’s been a long time coming but it’s time…… big steps ahead a a whole new life together somewhere different…….😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
I’m going to the lion king too
And it wdnt be summer without a gig….jbj…..

Sounds like a very intense “bucket” schedule! Maybe a bit too out of the blue, but if you like music, writing and literature, the Hay Festival (23rd May to 2 June) at Hay-on-Wye is my favourite Uk’s festival! Been there 5 years in a row (this year we’ve been travelling for 18months so didnt make it) and never let us down!

It is pretty hectic – but that is why I tend to make my lists summer: April to October and winter: November to March, to give me time to get everything done. This festival sounds interesting – I’ll have to check it out x

Thank you for reading ♥️ I think I’ll make a post about it for sure if/when I plan it! Bournemouth is lovely 🙂 I hope we get a good summer so I can return to the south coast. I still need to go to Durdel Door too! I’ve been to a shockingly small number of places in the UK so I’m open to lots of suggestions. Thank you in advance for the well wishes xx 🥰
